This
eighteen-hole golf course was formed in 1963 and is situated in
Kirkcaldy, approximately thirty miles North of Edinburgh and twenty
miles South of St Andrews in Fife. From a humble beginning the golf
club has evolved over the years and in 2001 a major extension and
refurbishment was carried out to the clubhouse to upgrade it to the
very best modern standard. The clubhouse was provided with new
locker rooms and visitor changing facilities. The golf club has an
excellent reputation with visitors due to its excellent catering,
bustling atmosphere and friendly staff.
Situated in the Dunnikier Park, the course measures 6532 yards, with
a par of 72. The course presents a fair challenge for every calibre
of golfer. The 'signature' hole of the course is The Dip, the 368
yard 7th, a short downhill par 4 with the spectacular surround of
large mature trees.
Elsewhere
on the course, magnificent views of the Lomond Hills may be
observed.
In
2007, the club hosted the prestigious Fife Stroke play and Match
play championships and received great praise from the competitors
with regard to the standard of the course.
Kirkcaldy is one of the largest towns in Fife and has a history of
tourism.
Visitors are always welcomed at the Club.
